As promised on previous post, here are the screenshots showing the process to setup custom domain on Blogger with NameCheap.
I guess if you found this page, you already know what Blogger custom domain is and the important of using a custom domain instead of Blogger standard address.
So, let's proceed with the setup. (Click images for larger version)
Setting on NameCheap Control Panel
- Click "All Host Records" under Host Management.
- Host Name: www, IP Adress/URL: ghs.google.com. (include "." and the end of .com). By default, NameCheap has inserted some value in the text box. Just overwrite with the given value.
- Sub-Domain Settings
- @/216.239.32.21/A (Address)
- @/216.239.34.21/A (Address)
- @/216.239.36.21/A (Address)
- @/216.239.38.21/A (Address)
- Finally, "Save Changes" to save your setting.
- Click "Settings" and under "Basic",
- Click "+Add acustom domain".
- Click "Switch to advanced settings"
- Enter your domain name with "www".
- Click "Save" to save your settings.
- Click the checkbox to redirect your naked domain to domain with "www".
- Finally, click "Save" again to save your settings.
- Wait a few minutes for the domain to propagate. Sometime it can take longer than that. If it takes longer than 48 hours, you have done something wrong. Please check back your settings and make sure they are correct. If problem still persist, contact your domain registrar.
